Possible Causes
Faulty display PCB temperature sensing circuit, Loose communication cable between display and main PCB, Damaged touch control panel, Interference or short in low-voltage wiring harness
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect mains power before removing the front display or control panel.
Steps:
- 1. Inspect the display panel: Remove the screws or clips holding the front display/control panel. Carefully pull it forward to access the PCB and wiring.
- 2. Check connectors: Ensure the ribbon cable or multi-wire harness between the display and main board is fully seated and not damaged. Reseat both ends.
- 3. Look for moisture: Check for condensation or liquid damage around the panel. Dry gently and ensure the area is sealed when reassembled.
- 4. Visual PCB check: Inspect the display PCB for burnt components or cracked solder joints, especially around connectors.
- 5. Replace display PCB if needed: If E9 persists after reseating cables and there are signs of PCB damage, replace the display/control PCB with the correct Fagor part.
- 6. Harness inspection: If the new panel does not resolve the error, inspect the low-voltage harness from the display to the main board for pinched or broken wires. Repair or replace as necessary.
