Possible Causes

Frozen water line in refrigerator door, Faulty water dispenser switch or lever, Defective water inlet valve coil for dispenser, Clogged water filter (if equipped)

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Turn off the water supply and unplug the refrigerator before working on water lines or electrical parts.

Steps:

  • 1. Check water filter: Replace the water filter if it is old or clogged. Follow Fagor's recommended replacement interval.
  • 2. Test dispenser switch: Press the dispenser lever and listen for a click or valve hum. If silent, the switch or wiring may be faulty.
  • 3. Inspect door water line: On models with water through the door, the line inside the door can freeze. Open the door and gently warm the lower door area with a hair dryer on low to thaw the line.
  • 4. Test water valve: At the rear, locate the water inlet valve and test the dispenser coil for continuity. Replace the valve if the coil is open.
  • 5. Reassemble and test: Restore water and power, then test the dispenser for proper flow.
