Safety first: Turn off the ice maker using the control panel or switch before working on it. Shut off the water supply if disconnecting any water lines.

Step 1 – Check water supply and filter:

• Confirm the household water supply valve is open and the line is not kinked.
• Ensure the water filter is not overdue for replacement; a clogged filter can reduce ice production.

Step 2 – Inspect the ice maker and fill tube:

• Open the freezer or ice compartment and inspect the ice maker assembly for jammed ice cubes or broken pieces.
• Check the plastic fill tube above or behind the ice maker for ice blockage. If frozen, turn off the unit and gently thaw the tube with warm air (hair dryer on low, kept at a safe distance).

Step 3 – Reset or test the ice maker:

• Some Fhiaba ice makers have a test or reset button; press and hold as specified in the manual to initiate a harvest cycle.
• Observe whether the ice maker completes a cycle and fills with water.

Step 4 – Component diagnosis:

• If the ice maker does not move during a test, the ice maker module motor or internal switch may be faulty.
• If it cycles but does not fill, suspect the water inlet valve or a frozen fill tube.
• Persistent AL06 after clearing blockages usually requires replacement of the ice maker assembly or inlet valve by a technician.
