How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect power before removing control panels or accessing electronic boards. Avoid static discharge by touching a grounded metal object first.

Step 1 – Check visible connections:

  • Remove the control panel trim to access the user interface board.
  • Inspect the ribbon cable or harness connector for secure fit and signs of corrosion.

Step 2 – Inspect cabinet-to-door harness:

  • On models with door-mounted displays, check the harness where it passes through the hinge area for pinched or broken wires.
  • Repair or replace damaged harness sections.

Step 3 – Reseat connectors:

  • At both the user interface and main control board, unplug and replug the communication connectors several times to clean contacts.

Step 4 – Board replacement:

  • If E09 persists, either the UI board or main PCB may be defective.
  • Replacement and configuration of these boards should be done by a Fhiaba-trained technician to ensure correct software and parameters.
