Possible Causes

Faulty dispenser switch or sensor, Broken wiring in door harness, Defective dispenser control PCB (if separate), Child lock or safety interlock engaged

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the refrigerator before working on the dispenser or door wiring.

Basic checks:

  • Verify that any child lock function on the control panel is disabled.
  • Ensure the door is fully closed; many Finlux models disable dispensing when the door is open.

Inspect dispenser area:

  • Remove the front trim or cover of the dispenser (usually clips off carefully with a plastic tool).
  • Check the micro-switch or optical sensor that detects glass presence or lever movement. Look for broken levers or stuck switches.
  • Inspect wiring connectors for corrosion or loose fit.

Door harness:

  • On models with wiring running through the door hinge, gently flex the harness and look for cracked insulation or broken wires.
  • If wires are broken, the door harness may need replacement as a complete Finlux loom.

Reassemble and test: After reseating connectors or replacing a faulty switch, restore power and test the dispenser. The E7 code should clear if the control now detects normal operation.

Professional help: If the dispenser control PCB is suspected (no voltage to switch, burnt components), replacement is best handled by a technician.
