Possible Causes

Faulty display PCB, Communication cable fault between display and main PCB, Oxidized connectors at display board, Power supply instability from main PCB

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Disconnect mains power before removing the control panel or display.

Access the display panel:

  • On many Finlux refrigerators, the display is located on the front door or inside the fridge at the top.
  • Carefully unclip or unscrew the trim to expose the display PCB.

Inspect connections:

  • Locate the ribbon cable or harness connecting the display to the main control.
  • Unplug and replug the connector to clean contacts. Look for corrosion or bent pins.
  • Check the display PCB for signs of moisture damage or burnt components.

Power reset:

  • After reseating connectors, reassemble the panel, plug the fridge back in, and see if E8 clears.

Replace if necessary: If the display remains erratic or dead, replace the display PCB with a Finlux-compatible module. Ensure correct model number and firmware version.

Note: If a new display does not resolve E8, the main control PCB or wiring harness may be at fault and should be checked by a professional.
