Possible Causes

Fridge not level, Loose compressor mounting, Condenser or evaporator fan blades hitting obstructions, Loose internal panels or shelves

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety first: Unplug the appliance before tightening any components near electrical parts or moving fans.

Level the fridge:

  • Use a spirit level on the top of the appliance.
  • Adjust the front leveling feet until the unit is stable and does not rock.

Check rear components:

  • Remove the rear lower panel.
  • Ensure the compressor mounting bolts or rubber grommets are intact and tight.
  • Inspect the condenser fan (if fitted) for contact with wires or debris; clear obstructions.

Internal noises:

  • Inside the fridge and freezer, ensure shelves and drawers are seated properly and not vibrating against the liner.
  • Tighten any loose interior panels or covers.

Normal sounds: Some gurgling or clicking is normal as refrigerant flows and the defrost system operates. Focus on persistent loud knocking or rattling as abnormal.
