Basic user checks:

• Verify the temperature settings are not set to OFF or holiday mode.
• Listen for any humming or clicking from the compressor area when the unit is plugged in.

Inspect compressor start components:

• Remove the rear lower panel to access the compressor.
• Locate the start relay/PTC and overload protector on the compressor terminals.
• Check for burn marks, melted plastic, or a rattling sound when the relay is gently shaken.
• Replace the start relay/PTC and overload with Finlux-compatible parts if damaged.

Re-test:

• Refit the rear cover, plug the unit in, and allow 10–15 minutes to see if the compressor starts and cooling resumes.

When to call a technician: If the compressor remains silent or clicks repeatedly without running, the compressor or control PCB may be faulty. These require professional tools and refrigerant handling certification.
