Display shows F14; refrigerator may not respond to touch controls or settings may change unexpectedly.

Safety: Disconnect power before removing the display or control panel.

F14 indicates a problem with the user interface electronics.

• Power cycle: Unplug the unit for 5–10 minutes, then reconnect. Sometimes a UI lockup can be cleared by a reset.
• Check for moisture: Inspect around the display area for condensation or water drips (for example, from a dispenser). Dry the area thoroughly with a soft cloth.
• Inspect connections: Remove the display bezel carefully and check the ribbon cable or harness between the UI and the cabinet. Ensure it is fully seated and not damaged.
• Look for physical damage: Cracks in the touch panel or signs of liquid inside the display indicate the UI board may need replacement.
• Replace UI module: If the panel remains unresponsive or F14 persists, replace the user interface/display board with the correct Fisher & Paykel part number.
• Further diagnosis: If a new UI does not resolve the issue, the main control board or communication wiring may be faulty and should be checked by a technician.
