Possible Causes
Normal cooling cycle creating vacuum, Blocked pressure equalization port, Door seals too tight after replacement
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: No electrical work is required.
- Understand normal behavior: A brief suction effect for a few seconds after closing is normal as warm air cools and contracts.
- Wait before reopening: Allow 30–60 seconds before reopening the same door to reduce effort.
- Check equalization port: Some models have a small vent or valve to equalize pressure. Ensure it is not blocked by packaging or debris.
- Gasket adjustment: If new gaskets were installed and doors are extremely hard to open, gently warm the gasket with a hair dryer and shape it to improve fit.
