Display shows CL; controls may be locked and unresponsive.

Note: CL is typically a control lock indicator, not a fault.

Step 1: Unlock the controls

• Press and hold the Control Lock or Lock button for 3–5 seconds until the CL indicator disappears.
• On some models, press and hold the Freezer Up and Freezer Down buttons together.

Step 2: Test buttons

• After unlocking, press other buttons to confirm they respond.

Step 3: Check for stuck keys

• If CL reappears or buttons are unresponsive, the keypad or UI board may be failing and require replacement.

When to call a technician: If the control panel will not unlock or responds erratically, have the user interface board inspected and replaced if needed.
