Step 3: Inspect air damper (if fresh food too cold)

• Locate the air damper assembly between freezer and refrigerator compartments.
• Listen for the damper opening/closing when temperature changes are requested.
• If the damper is stuck open, replace the damper assembly.

Step 4: Sensor check

• Test the appropriate thermistor for proper resistance and replace if shorted.

When to call a technician: If temperatures remain too low despite correct settings and sensor/damper replacement, the control board may be misreading inputs and should be evaluated professionally.
