Step 1: Check ice maker power and switch

• Ensure the ice maker is turned ON (switch or control setting).
• Verify the ice bin is properly seated and not pushing the shutoff arm up.

Step 2: Inspect fill tube

• Look at the plastic fill tube above the ice maker for ice blockage.
• If frozen, thaw with a hair dryer on low or warm water in a turkey baster.

Step 3: Test water inlet valve

• If the dispenser works but the ice maker does not fill, the ice side of the dual water inlet valve may be faulty.
• Use a multimeter to check coil resistance and replace the valve if open or if it does not energize during a test cycle.

Step 4: Ice maker test cycle

• On many Frigidaire Gallery ice makers, you can initiate a test by pressing and holding the test button (if present) or cycling power.
• If the ice maker does not rotate or call for water, replace the ice maker assembly.
