Possible Causes
Shorted thermistor, Moisture inside thermistor connector, Pinched or shorted thermistor wiring, Failed main control board sensor input
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Unplug the refrigerator before working inside compartments or at the rear control.
- 1. Locate the affected sensor: Use the tech sheet to determine if SH is for the fresh food, freezer, or evaporator thermistor.
- 2. Inspect sensor and harness: Remove the sensor cover. Check for water intrusion, corrosion, or crushed wiring where it passes through the liner.
- 3. Dry and clean: If moisture is present, dry the area thoroughly and clean connectors with electrical contact cleaner. Reseat the connector.
- 4. Replace thermistor: If the sensor body is cracked or swollen, or if SH persists, replace the thermistor with the correct Frigidaire Professional part.
- 5. If error remains after sensor replacement: The main control board may have a failed sensor input circuit and may need replacement.
