Possible Causes
Frozen water line in freezer door, Failed water inlet valve (dispenser side), Faulty dispenser switch or paddle, Child lock enabled on dispenser
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety First: Turn off the household water supply to the refrigerator before disconnecting any water lines. Unplug the unit when accessing electrical components.
- 1. Check dispenser lock: Ensure the control lock is not enabled; disable it per the user manual.
- 2. Test water at door: Press the dispenser paddle and listen for a humming sound from the rear water valve. If you hear humming but no water, the line may be frozen or blocked.
- 3. Thaw door line: Open the freezer door and gently warm the dispenser area with a hair dryer on low, moving constantly to avoid damage. Do not overheat the plastic.
- 4. Check water filter: Replace a clogged water filter with a genuine Frigidaire Professional filter and purge air by dispensing several gallons.
- 5. Test inlet valve: If there is no humming, the dispenser side of the dual water inlet valve may have failed. Replace the water inlet valve assembly.
