Possible Causes
Clogged water filter, Frozen water line in door, Faulty water inlet valve, Defective dispenser switch or actuator
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the water supply before disconnecting any water lines. Unplug the refrigerator when accessing electrical components.
Steps to restore dispenser flow:
- 1. Replace water filter: Install a new Frigidaire water filter and flush several gallons of water.
- 2. Check water supply: Ensure the shutoff valve is fully open and the supply line is not kinked.
- 3. Test for frozen line: Open the freezer door and feel the dispenser line in the door (if accessible). If suspected frozen, leave the door open and use a hair dryer on low along the door edge for short intervals.
- 4. Test water inlet valve: At the rear, disconnect the outlet line from the water inlet valve and briefly activate the dispenser (with power on and water supply on). If no water flows, replace the valve.
- 5. Check dispenser switch: Remove the dispenser cover and test the micro‑switch for continuity when pressed. Replace if faulty.
