Possible Causes
Unit not leveled, Loose compressor mounting, Loose condenser fan shroud, Refrigerator touching wall or cabinets
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Use caution when moving the refrigerator; it is heavy and can tip.
Steps to reduce vibration:
- 1. Level the unit: Adjust front leveling legs so the refrigerator is stable and does not rock. Use a bubble level if available.
- 2. Provide clearance: Ensure there is at least 1 inch of clearance at the sides and back so the cabinet does not touch walls or cabinets.
- 3. Tighten rear components: With power unplugged, tighten screws on the compressor mounting bracket and condenser fan shroud.
- 4. Check for loose items: Remove any items stored on top of the refrigerator that may rattle.
