Possible Causes

Failed water inlet valve coil, Blocked water filter or line, Defective flow sensor (if present), Loose or damaged wiring to valve assembly

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect power and close the water supply valve before working on the water system.

Steps:

  • 1. Check water supply: Ensure the household shutoff valve is fully open and that water pressure is adequate. Straighten any kinks in the supply line.
  • 2. Replace water filter: A clogged filter can restrict flow and trigger errors. Replace the filter with a genuine Gaggenau/Bosch filter and flush according to instructions.
  • 3. Access inlet valve: Remove the lower rear panel to access the water inlet valve assembly. Inspect for leaks, corrosion, or damaged wiring.
  • 4. Test valve coils: With power off, disconnect the valve connectors and measure coil resistance. An open coil indicates a failed valve that must be replaced.
  • 5. Replace inlet valve: Install a new water inlet valve assembly if defective. Transfer tubing connections carefully and ensure all fittings are tight to prevent leaks.

Note: If the valve and filter are good but E14 persists, a faulty flow sensor or control board may be involved and should be diagnosed by a technician.
