Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing the freezer interior panels.

• Locate freezer thermistor: Typically mounted on the rear wall or clipped to the evaporator tubing behind the rear panel.
• Inspect and test: Check for physical damage, then disconnect and measure resistance at a known temperature. Replace if out of specification.
• Verify harness and board: Trace the thermistor wires to the main board, ensuring no breaks or pinched sections. Reseat the connector at the board.
• Replace control board if needed: If wiring and thermistor are good but E2 persists, the main control board may need replacement.
