Possible Causes
Failed condenser fan motor, Blocked condenser fan, Faulty ambient temperature sensor, Main control board output failure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the refrigerator before accessing the rear compartment.
- Inspect condenser fan: Remove the rear lower panel and check that the fan blades spin freely and are not obstructed by debris.
- Test fan operation: Restore power briefly and observe if the fan runs when the compressor is on. If not, replace the condenser fan motor.
- Check ambient sensor: Some GE models use an ambient thermistor near the condenser. Inspect and test this sensor if present.
- Control board: If the fan and sensor are good but E7 remains, the main control board may not be driving the fan correctly and may require replacement.
