How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing interior panels.
- Locate damper: The damper is usually in the upper left or right rear of the fresh food compartment, behind a plastic grille.
- Inspect for blockage: Remove the cover and check for ice or debris preventing the damper door from moving. Clear any obstruction.
- Check damper movement: With power briefly restored, change the temperature setting and listen/feel for damper movement. If it does not move or makes grinding noises, replace the damper assembly.
- Verify wiring: Ensure the damper harness is fully connected and not damaged.
