Display shows EU and the refrigerator may not maintain correct temperatures.

Safety first: Disconnect power before removing freezer panels.

EU indicates the evaporator temperature sensor is not reading correctly.

• Access evaporator: Remove freezer drawers and the rear panel to expose the evaporator coil and thermistor.
• Check placement: Ensure the thermistor is clipped securely to the evaporator tubing in the correct location.
• Inspect wiring: Look for nicks, breaks, or corrosion in the thermistor wires and connector.
• Measure resistance: Test the thermistor at a known temperature and compare to GE specifications. Replace if out of range.
• Control board check: If a new thermistor does not clear the EU code, the main control board may be defective and should be evaluated by a technician.
