Display shows FZ and freezer temperature is incorrect or fluctuating.

Safety first: Disconnect power before removing freezer panels.

• Check for frost: Remove the freezer rear panel and inspect for heavy frost that may be insulating the thermistor. If present, defrost the area.
• Inspect thermistor: Locate the freezer thermistor clipped to the evaporator or liner. Ensure it is properly attached and not damaged.
• Reseat connector: Follow the thermistor wires to the plug and reseat it firmly.
• Replace thermistor: If the sensor appears swollen, cracked, or tests out of range, replace it.
• Control board: If a new thermistor does not resolve the FZ code, the main control board may be faulty and require replacement.
