Display shows LOC or Control Lock icon; buttons do not respond.

Safety first: No internal service is needed for basic unlocking.

• Unlock controls: Press and hold the Lock or Control Lock button for 3–5 seconds until the LOC indicator disappears. On some models, press and hold Ice Off and Freezer together.
• Check for stuck keys: If LOC will not clear, a stuck button may be holding the panel in lock mode. Gently press each button to ensure it moves freely.
• Power reset: Unplug the refrigerator for 5 minutes and restore power. If the panel remains locked and unresponsive, the user interface board may need replacement.
