Possible Causes
Ice maker module failure, Frozen fill tube, Faulty ice maker water valve solenoid, Ice level sensor stuck in full position
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Turn off the ice maker and unplug the refrigerator before removing the ice maker.
- Verify switch: Make sure the ice maker power switch is ON and the feeler arm or sensor is not blocked by ice.
- Check fill tube: Inspect the fill tube for ice blockage. Thaw gently with warm air and check for a seeping valve.
- Test valve: During a manual harvest test, listen for the water valve click. If no water enters but the dispenser works, the ice maker side of the dual valve may be bad.
- Replace ice maker: If the ice maker does not cycle at all and has power, replace the ice maker assembly.
