• Test compressor: With power off, remove the start device and measure resistance between compressor terminals. If windings are open or shorted to ground, the compressor is failed.
• Control or inverter: On GE Profile models with an inverter board, verify the inverter is receiving proper DC voltage from the main board. If not, the main board may be faulty; if yes but compressor does not run, the inverter or compressor is likely bad.
