Possible Causes
Faulty water inlet valve coil, Blocked inlet filter or line, Defective flow sensor (on models with flow metering), Loose wiring to valve or sensor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the refrigerator and close the water supply valve before disconnecting any water lines.
Steps:
- Check water supply: Confirm the household water valve is open and water pressure is adequate. Straighten any kinks in the supply hose.
- Inspect inlet filter: Some Gorenje valves have a small mesh filter at the inlet. Disconnect the hose, remove and clean the filter if clogged.
- Test the inlet valve coil: With the unit unplugged, disconnect the valve wiring and measure coil resistance. An open circuit indicates a failed coil.
- Check for leaks and blockages: Inspect the tubing from the valve to the dispenser and/or ice maker for kinks, freezing, or blockages.
- Flow sensor (if present): On models with a flow sensor, ensure its connector is secure and the sensor body is not cracked or leaking.
- Replace faulty components: If the valve coil or flow sensor is defective, replace with Gorenje-approved parts. Reconnect tubing securely and use new seals where required.
- Restore power and water: Open the water valve, plug in the fridge, and test the dispenser. E11 should clear if water flow is restored and the electronics read correctly.
