Refrigerator beeps and shows E6; interior lights may work but compressor does not start or starts erratically.

• Check the communication cable: Locate the multi-core cable connecting the display PCB to the main PCB (usually at the rear, behind a metal or plastic cover). Reseat both ends firmly.
• Inspect for damage: Look for pinched or broken wires, especially where the harness passes through the door hinge or cabinet.
• Clean connectors: If there is visible oxidation, gently clean contacts with electrical contact cleaner and allow to dry fully.
• Test continuity: Use a multimeter to check continuity of each conductor in the harness. Replace the harness if any conductor is open.
• Board replacement: If wiring is intact and E6 persists, either the display PCB or main PCB is likely faulty. Replacing boards should be done by a qualified technician to avoid misdiagnosis and ensure correct programming.
