Possible Causes
Unit not leveled, Rear or side panels touching wall or cabinets, Loose internal components or shelves, Compressor vibration transmitted to floor
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Take care when tilting or moving the refrigerator; it is heavy and can tip.
Steps:
- Level the appliance: Adjust front and rear feet (if adjustable) so the unit is stable and does not rock. Use a spirit level if available.
- Check clearances: Ensure the sides and back are not pressed tightly against walls or cabinets. Leave recommended gaps for ventilation.
- Secure loose items: Remove and reseat shelves, drawers, and door bins. Loose glass shelves can rattle.
- Anti-vibration pads: Place rubber pads under the front feet to reduce transmission of vibration to the floor.
