How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the refrigerator before accessing sensors or the main PCB.
- Verify actual temperature: Place an accurate thermometer in the freezer to confirm the real temperature versus the display.
- Inspect freezer sensor connection: Access the main PCB and ensure the freezer NTC sensor connector is firmly seated. Wiggle gently to check for intermittent contact.
- Check wiring harness: Look for signs of damage where the sensor wires pass through the cabinet.
- Replace suspect sensor: If the sensor readings are unstable or out of range, replace the freezer NTC sensor with a Grundig-compatible part.
- Reset control: After sensor replacement, unplug the unit for several minutes, then restore power and monitor freezer performance over 24 hours.
If E17 persists and temperatures remain unstable, the main PCB may be faulty and should be replaced by a professional.
