How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn off the ice maker and unplug the refrigerator before working on the ice maker assembly.

Check ice maker switch: Ensure the ice maker is switched on via the control panel or mechanical arm.
Inspect ice bin: Make sure the bin is correctly seated and not overfilled.
Check fill tube: Look for ice blocking the water fill tube above the ice maker. If frozen, defrost with warm air or water (protect surrounding plastic).
Test ice maker cycle: Use the test button (if present) to initiate a cycle. If the tray does not move, the motor may be faulty.
Replace ice maker assembly: Install a Grundig-compatible ice maker unit if the motor or internal switch is defective.
