Possible Causes
Copper tubing touching cabinet or each other, Loose condenser coil, Loose compressor mounting bolts, Items vibrating on top of the refrigerator
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the refrigerator before bending any tubing or tightening mounts.
- Remove items from top: Take off any objects on top of the fridge that may rattle.
- Inspect rear tubing: At the back, gently move refrigerant lines away from each other or from the cabinet using your fingers. Do not kink or sharply bend the tubes.
- Secure condenser: Tighten any loose brackets holding the condenser coil.
- Check compressor mounts: Ensure mounting bolts are snug but not overtightened, and rubber grommets are in place.
- Test operation: Restore power and listen during compressor start/stop cycles.
