Display shows E7 and the refrigerator may not respond correctly to door openings (lights or fans behave abnormally).

Possible Causes
Failed magnetic reed door switch, Misaligned door magnet, Broken door switch wiring, Faulty input circuit on main PCB
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the refrigerator before removing door switch assemblies or display panels.
How to troubleshoot:
- 1. Identify door switches: Haier refrigerators may use mechanical plunger switches in the door frame or magnetic reed switches hidden in the cabinet with magnets in the door.
- 2. Check operation: Open and close each door while observing the interior lights and display. If a door is reported as open when closed (or vice versa), that switch is suspect.
- 3. Inspect physical switch: For plunger switches, gently pry out the switch from the liner and inspect for broken terminals or corrosion. For magnetic systems, ensure the door magnet is present and not loose.
- 4. Test continuity: With power disconnected, use a multimeter to test the switch. It should change from open to closed when actuated. Replace if it does not change state reliably.
- 5. Check wiring to PCB: Trace the switch wires to the main control board or display PCB. Repair any damaged harnesses or loose connectors.
- 6. Replace faulty switch: Install a new Haier-compatible door switch or magnet as required. Ensure it seats fully and actuates correctly when the door closes.
Note: A faulty door switch can also cause fan shutdown or temperature issues because the control thinks the door is always open.
