Possible Causes
Failed condenser fan motor, Obstruction by dust or debris, Damaged fan wiring, Faulty main PCB fan driver
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the refrigerator before working at the rear. The compressor and condenser can be hot—allow them to cool.
Steps:
- 1. Access condenser fan: Remove the lower rear cover to expose the condenser coil and fan assembly.
- 2. Visual inspection: Check for dust, pet hair, or debris blocking the fan blades. Clean thoroughly with a soft brush and vacuum.
- 3. Spin test: Rotate the fan blades by hand. If they do not spin freely or feel rough, the motor bearings may be worn and the motor should be replaced.
- 4. Electrical test: With power disconnected, measure resistance across the fan motor terminals. An open circuit indicates a failed motor.
- 5. Check wiring: Inspect the harness from the fan to the main PCB for cuts, burns, or loose connectors. Repair as needed.
- 6. Replace fan motor: Install a new Haier-compatible condenser fan motor. Ensure the fan blade is correctly oriented and securely attached.
Tip: Keeping the condenser area clean improves efficiency and reduces compressor stress.
