Possible Causes
Open or shorted fresh food NTC sensor, Loose connector at sensor or PCB, Damaged harness, Faulty main PCB sensor input
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Disconnect power before accessing interior panels or the control board.
Steps:
- 1. Identify sensor location: On some Haier models, F1 corresponds to the fresh food (refrigerator) sensor located behind an interior cover or in an air duct.
- 2. Remove cover: Take out shelves as needed and gently pry off the sensor cover.
- 3. Inspect and test: Check the sensor and wiring for damage. Measure resistance and compare to the NTC chart. Replace if faulty.
- 4. Check harness to PCB: Verify continuity from the sensor to the main PCB. Repair any breaks.
- 5. Replace PCB if needed: If sensor and wiring are good but F1 persists, replace the main control board.
