Refrigerator making loud buzzing or rattling noise from the back.

Possible Causes
Loose condenser fan shroud, Fan blade hitting debris, Compressor mounting grommets worn, Refrigerant lines touching cabinet
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the refrigerator before touching the fan or compressor. Components may be hot.
Steps:
- 1. Access rear compartment: Remove the lower rear cover to expose the condenser fan and compressor.
- 2. Inspect fan: Check for debris in the fan blades or shroud. Remove any obstructions and ensure the blade is not cracked. Tighten any loose mounting screws.
- 3. Check vibration: Gently press on the compressor and nearby tubing while the unit is running (briefly, with caution) to see if the noise changes. If so, add foam pads or adjust tubing to prevent contact with the cabinet.
- 4. Mounting grommets: Inspect the rubber compressor mounting grommets. If they are hardened or cracked, have them replaced by a technician.
