Possible Causes

Loose ribbon cable between UI and main board, Failed display/control panel PCB, Moisture ingress into control panel, Faulty communication circuit on main board

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Disconnect power before removing the front control panel or top cover. Electronic components are sensitive to static discharge.

Steps:

  • 1. Inspect control panel: Check for signs of moisture, condensation, or physical damage around the display and buttons.
  • 2. Access UI board: Remove screws or clips securing the control panel. Carefully pull it forward to expose the user interface PCB and ribbon cable.
  • 3. Reseat connectors: Disconnect and reconnect the ribbon cable between the UI and main board, ensuring it is fully seated and not damaged.
  • 4. Dry moisture: If moisture is present, allow the panel to dry completely before reassembly. Do not use high heat.
  • 5. Replace UI board: If buttons remain unresponsive or E15 persists, replace the user interface/display board.
  • 6. Main board check: If a new UI board does not resolve the issue, the main control board communication circuit may be defective and require replacement.

Note: Avoid spraying cleaners directly onto the control panel; apply to a cloth instead to prevent future moisture damage.
