Possible Causes

Ice maker module failure, Blocked or frozen fill tube, Faulty water inlet valve for ice maker circuit, Ice level sensor malfunction

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Unplug the refrigerator and shut off water supply before servicing the ice maker.

Steps:

  • 1. Check ice bin: Ensure the bin is properly seated and not overfilled. Some Hansa models stop ice production when the bin is full or misaligned.
  • 2. Inspect fill tube: Look at the plastic tube that delivers water to the ice maker. If it is blocked with ice, thaw it with warm air (hair dryer on low, at a safe distance).
  • 3. Test water valve: Manually activate the ice maker fill (if test button is available) or in service mode. If no water enters but dispenser works, the ice maker side of the water inlet valve may be faulty.
  • 4. Check ice maker module: If the tray never cycles (no movement), the ice maker motor or control is likely defective. Replace the ice maker assembly.

Note: Allow 24 hours after repair for ice production to resume fully.
