Refrigerator leaking water onto the floor from the front or underneath.

Possible Causes
Clogged defrost drain tube, Frozen drain hole under evaporator, Cracked or misaligned drain pan, Excessive condensation due to door gasket leaks
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the refrigerator before removing interior panels. Water on the floor can be slippery; mop up spills promptly.
Steps:
- 1. Identify leak source: Check if water appears inside the fridge (under drawers) or only on the floor. Water inside often indicates a blocked defrost drain.
- 2. Access defrost drain: Remove freezer drawers and the rear panel to expose the evaporator. Locate the drain hole at the bottom of the evaporator tray.
- 3. Clear ice and debris: Use warm (not boiling) water to melt ice in the drain hole. A turkey baster or syringe can help flush the drain. Do not use sharp tools that can puncture the liner.
- 4. Clean drain tube: From the rear of the fridge, locate the end of the drain tube above the drain pan. Remove and clean it with warm water and a flexible brush if accessible.
- 5. Inspect drain pan: Ensure the drain pan above the compressor is not cracked and is properly positioned.
- 6. Check door gaskets: Replace damaged gaskets to reduce excess moisture entering the cabinet.
After repair: Reassemble panels, restore power, and monitor for further leaks over several days.
