- 3. Inspect start relay/PTC: Remove the relay from the compressor and inspect for burning or rattling. Replace with a compatible compressor start relay/PTC if defective.
- 4. Feel compressor temperature: A very hot compressor that frequently clicks off may be failing internally.
- 5. Check for cooling on condenser: Carefully feel the condenser coil; if it remains completely at room temperature after 10–15 minutes of compressor operation, there may be a sealed system issue (no refrigerant or internal blockage).
