How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before accessing the freezer rear panel.
- 1. Verify with a thermometer: Place a freezer thermometer and compare to the display reading.
- 2. Access the sensor: Remove the interior rear panel to locate the freezer thermistor, often clipped to the evaporator tubing.
- 3. Inspect and test: Check for damage or ice encasement. Defrost if necessary. Measure resistance and compare to expected NTC values.
- 4. Replace if faulty: Install a new Hisense freezer thermistor and ensure it is properly clipped to the coil.
Note: Incorrect sensor readings can cause over-freezing or thawing of food.
