Possible Causes

Door left open or not sealing, Overloaded compartment blocking airflow, Failed evaporator fan, Refrigerant system issue affecting fridge section

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: No internal electrical work is required for initial checks; unplug only if removing panels.

  • 1. Check doors and seals: Ensure the refrigerator door closes fully and the gasket is not torn or warped. Adjust items that may be preventing closure.
  • 2. Reduce overloading: Remove items blocking air vents at the back or sides. Allow space for air circulation.
  • 3. Listen for fan operation: With the door closed (press door switch if needed), listen for the evaporator fan running. If silent, see the evaporator fan fault entry.
  • 4. Allow recovery time: After correcting issues, allow several hours for temperature to drop and H1 to clear.

If H1 persists despite good sealing and fan operation, a cooling system fault may exist and a technician should inspect.
