Possible Causes
Thermistor reading too low, Stuck relay on main PCB keeping compressor on, Incorrect temperature setting, Air damper stuck open (on dual-evap models)
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Unplug the unit before accessing internal components.
- 1. Check temperature settings: Ensure the set temperatures are not at the coldest setting. Adjust to recommended values (e.g., 4°C fridge, -18°C freezer).
- 2. Observe compressor run time: If the compressor runs almost constantly even after temperature is reached, suspect a control or sensor issue.
- 3. Test compartment sensors: Check refrigerator and freezer thermistors for correct resistance at known temperatures. Replace if out of spec.
- 4. Inspect air damper (if equipped): On some Hisense models, a motorized damper controls cold air into the fridge. If stuck open, the fridge may overcool. Replace the damper if it does not move or is jammed.
If overcooling persists after sensor and damper checks, the main PCB may have a stuck relay and should be replaced.
