Possible Causes
Water supply turned off, Frozen water line in door, Faulty water inlet valve, Defective dispenser switch or actuator
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety: Turn off the water supply and unplug the refrigerator before working on water components.
- 1. Check water supply: Ensure the shutoff valve to the refrigerator is fully open and the household water pressure is adequate.
- 2. Purge air: If recently installed, press and hold the dispenser lever for several minutes to purge air from the line.
- 3. Inspect for frozen line: If the freezer is very cold, the water line in the door may freeze. Lower the freezer temperature slightly and leave the door open briefly to warm the area, or gently warm the dispenser area.
- 4. Test inlet valve: Listen for a humming sound from the rear when the dispenser is activated. If silent, the valve may be faulty or not receiving power. Replace the Hisense water inlet valve if it does not open when energized.
- 5. Check dispenser switch: If the valve hums but no water flows and lines are not frozen, the internal dispenser switch or control may be faulty and require replacement.
