Possible Causes
Failed door switch or reed sensor, Misaligned door magnet, Broken door switch wiring, Faulty input on main control board
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before removing control covers or door switch housings.
Inspection:
- Locate the door switch or magnetic reed sensor (usually in the cabinet frame or control housing).
- Check that the door closes fully and that gaskets are not preventing proper contact.
- Verify that the door magnet (if used) is present and aligned with the sensor.
Testing:
- Press the mechanical switch by hand; you should hear a distinct click.
- Test continuity across the switch terminals while pressing and releasing; replace if it does not change state.
Corrective action: Replace any faulty door switch or reed sensor. If the sensor is good but E11 persists, the main control board may be misreading the input and require replacement.
