Possible Causes
Worn or dirty door gaskets, High room humidity, Mullion heater (if fitted) not operating, Doors left open for extended periods
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety warning: Unplug the refrigerator before inspecting any electrical heaters.
Steps:
- 1. Clean gaskets: Wipe door gaskets with warm soapy water to remove grease and dirt that prevent proper sealing.
- 2. Check seal contact: Ensure gaskets make full contact with the cabinet all around. Replace if cracked or shrunken.
- 3. Mullion heater check: On some IceKing models, a small heater runs around the door frame to reduce condensation. If moisture is heavy only in this area, the heater may have failed. Access and test continuity; replace if open.
- 4. Environmental factors: In very humid rooms, some condensation is normal. Improve ventilation or reduce humidity if possible.
Note: Persistent heavy condensation can lead to mold growth; address promptly.
