Possible Causes
Stuck or shorted control buttons, Contaminated keypad contacts from moisture, Damaged UI PCB traces, Faulty main PCB input circuit
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety warning: Disconnect power before opening the control panel.
Steps:
- 1. Check for stuck buttons: Press each control button several times. If any feel stuck or do not click, they may be mechanically jammed.
- 2. Remove the control panel: Carefully remove the front panel to expose the keypad or UI PCB. Inspect for signs of liquid spills or condensation.
- 3. Clean contacts: If the keypad uses a membrane or rubber dome, gently clean the surface with isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth. Allow to dry completely.
- 4. Inspect PCB: Look for corroded or lifted traces around the button contacts. If damage is extensive, replace the UI PCB.
- 5. Test after reassembly: Refit the panel, restore power, and test each button. If E14 remains and buttons do not respond, the main PCB input circuit may be faulty and require replacement.
Note: Avoid spraying cleaners directly onto the control panel; apply to a cloth first.
