Possible Causes
Misaligned door causing poor contact with switch, Weak door hinges, Faulty door switch, Items inside preventing full closure
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Unplug the refrigerator before adjusting hinges or switches.
Steps:
- 1. Check for obstructions: Ensure shelves, tall containers, or drawers are not preventing the door from closing fully.
- 2. Inspect gasket contact: Look for gaps between the gasket and cabinet when the door is closed. Adjust hinges if necessary.
- 3. Test door switch: Manually press the door switch and see if the alarm stops. If not, the switch may be faulty and should be replaced.
- 4. Hinge adjustment: Tighten hinge screws and adjust door height/angle according to the IceKing manual so the door closes firmly.
Note: A misaligned door can also cause cooling and frost issues; correct promptly.
