Possible Causes
Faulty fridge NTC sensor reading too warm, Stuck relay on main PCB keeping compressor on, Air damper stuck open, Incorrect temperature setting or calibration
How to Fix / Troubleshooting
Safety first: Disconnect power before accessing sensors or control boards.
Steps:
- 1. Verify settings: Ensure the fridge temperature is set to a normal value (around 4°C). Reset to factory default if unsure.
- 2. Check sensor: Test the refrigerator compartment NTC sensor resistance at a known temperature. Replace if out of specification.
- 3. Inspect damper: Confirm the air damper between freezer and fridge is not stuck fully open. Replace the damper assembly if it does not move.
- 4. PCB evaluation: If sensor and damper are good but the compressor never cycles off, the main PCB relay may be stuck closed. Replace the main control PCB.
Note: Overcooling wastes energy and can damage food quality; address promptly.
