Possible Causes

Failed ice maker module motor, Jammed ice cubes in mold, Faulty ice maker position sensor or switch, Broken wiring to ice maker assembly

How to Fix / Troubleshooting

Safety: Turn off the ice maker and unplug the refrigerator before working on the ice maker assembly. Water and electricity are both present in this area.

Steps:

  • 1. Check water supply: Ensure the household water valve to the refrigerator is open and the supply line is not kinked.
  • 2. Inspect ice maker: Remove the ice bin and visually inspect the ice maker for jammed cubes or broken parts. Clear any obstructions.
  • 3. Reset ice maker: Many Ikea ice makers have a reset button or on/off switch. Turn it off for 30 seconds, then back on. If F10 returns, continue.
  • 4. Electrical inspection: With power off, remove the ice maker cover and check the wiring harness and connector for damage or corrosion.
  • 5. Replace ice maker module: If the motor does not cycle and the position sensor does not signal correctly (requires multimeter or service mode testing), replace the complete ice maker assembly.

Note: After replacement, allow up to 24 hours for the first batch of ice to be produced.
